Michele J. Flynn, Founder and President
Michele is an industry visionary. With more than 25 years of real estate and corporate administrative experience, she leads a team of professionals who have “been there, done that,” accentuating her belief that if you advise a company on how to run an operation, you need to know how to run that operation.
Michele brings to each engagement deep expertise in leveraging process and technology to reduce expenses and align corporate services to meet the changing needs of business units. Before Expense Management Solutions, Michele held executive positions with Fortune 500 companies, international banks and public accounting firms in real estate, investment management, administrative services and contract administration.
She has lectured at universities and professional trade organizations and written for industry publications (i.e. Facilities Design and Management, Purchasing Today, Financial Executive, Corporate Real Estate Executive, CRE Leader) on subjects such as e-procurement systems and trends, e-commerce initiatives; business process design; outsourcing; global sourcing; supplier relationship management, real estate finance, corporate real estate management and shared service organizational issues. Michele earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University and an AB in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College. She is Board Certified in Corporate Real Estate (BCCR) by Corenet, and is a member of the Institute of Supply Management, Purchasing Management Association of Boston, International Facilities Management Association, International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, the Sourcing Interests Group, and a number of other professional organizations.

Christopher McCarthy, Vice President, Sales
Chris has more than seventeen years experience in sales, marketing and planning strategy and applies a holistic view of outsourcing to the sales process, reflecting the perspectives of analyst, service provider and client. Prior to joining Expense Management Solutions, Chris worked at International Business Machines (IBM) as a business development executive specializing in global strategic outsourcing. While at IBM, he introduced outsourcing to the world’s largest specialty apparel retailer, Gap, Inc., and helped land a $1.2 Billion outsourcing contract for IBM. His responsibilities at IBM included maintaining $3Billion in identified potential opportunities and $900 Million in signings for the retail industry.
Chris also has worked as an outsourcing analyst at Real Decisions, A Gartner Group company, and as director of marketing for the outsourcing division of Computer Sciences Corporation. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Indiana State University.

Robert Teplansky, Director, EMSInsight
Robert Teplansky leads Expense Management Solutions' EMSInsight practice, which provides marketplace intelligence for shared services professionals. EMSInsight leverages the expertise, information and data acquired during 10 years of client engagements, as well as the extensive professional networks of EMS’ senior staff, into industry reports, symposia, training resources, and research.
Rob has more than 18 years experience working with professionals and professional networks from a variety of industries and has developed a wide array of knowledge and information products. He coordinated the development of articles, books, research, conferences and trade shows for professionals and trade associations; as well as seminars, instructor led and computer based training programs, and training videos. His extensive work with certifying bodies ensured that training programs met certification criteria.
Rob earned his BS/BA from Emmanuel College in Boston. He is active in several professional and industry organizations, and presents and writes extensively on financial and management topics.

Chris O'D. Malone, Director, Shared Services
Chris provides expertise for operational assessments, systems evaluations, purchasing, and real estate reviews requiring a significant focus on mail, document management, travel, accounting and IT. She has 25 plus years experience in operations, finance, purchasing, information systems, accounting and real estate. Prior to joining EMS, Chris served as a second vice president of investment operations for a global financial services company; engagement manager for a national software and consulting firm, and director of administrative operations for an asset management company.
Chris earned a BS in business administration from the University of Connecticut, and an MS in professional accounting (MSPA) from the University of Hartford. A member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, Chris is working toward achieving the Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) designation.

Dennis P. Flynn, Director, Real Estate Investment Services
Dennis P. Flynn brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate and facilities management experience to our clients. Dennis provides unparalleled investment property management expertise, best-practice facility management, project management, tenant representation, and lease management solutions to each engagement. Prior to joining Expense Management Solutions, Dennis worked with one of the world's largest international development companies, managed a commercial office portfolio throughout the southwest, and founded a regional asset management firm. As president and CEO, Dennis directed the growth of the organization into one of America's fastest growing companies, earning the coveted Inc. 500 designation two years in a row.
His accomplishments include the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures for the organization, as it grew tenfold, while managing a portfolio of over 10 million square feet of regional malls, office buildings, shopping centers, industrial parks, and apartment complexes throughout the United States.
Dennis holds a BS in economics and an MS in education from Central Connecticut University. He was selected as a member of Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans (1992), Who's Who Worldwide (1993), and Who's Who of Executives and Professionals (1998). He provides executive guidance on numerous non-profit boards, as well as operational leadership for the local Boy Scouts of America organization.
